So far my route is as follows:
PA "S" bike route towards Harrisburg, and then on towards Pittsburgh. Across southern Ohio, taking advantage of an offer of lodging, and then towards West Lafayette, Indiana, where I also have friends who have offered to put me up and put up with me. Then south along the Race Across America route for 2007, crossing the Mississippi at St. Charles, staying with another Bike Forums poster, and then across Kansas, Colorado, and Arizona. I then break off the RAAM route at Flagstaff and head towards LA, where "The Driver" welcomes me with a hot shower, cold root beer, soft sofa, and carbs. Suggestions and criticisms welcome.

Uh, can we not refer to it as L.A.? I'm 35 miles south in the O.C.
Of course if you insist we can hop in the car and do the Hollywood tour and get a dog at Pinks

By the time I reach Orange County, I might me hungry enough to eat the car, let alone a hot dog at Pinks.
You're probably aware of this, but -- have you checked the several transcon routes mapped out by Adventure Cycling?
